Hello everyone!! 2012 was another great year!! Lot's of RDPflyrods hitting the waters around this world. I can't think of any better hobby in the world that building fly rods!! My blanks have been selling really well and (knock on wood) I've not had any problems with the blanks breaking at all. I've been blessed with a great manufacture that cares about quality products!! The 0wts are selling well already and what a great blank it is! I would like to thank everyone of my new friends for trusting me with building them a fly rod. I'll never forget the trust and friendship that everyone has shown me. I'm really looking forward to 2013!!! I've had a few rods that took me a while to ship and I'll try and do better this year. My three girls have been really active this year in school and they will always come first so if I'm late shipping please forgive me. Someday Lord willing I would love to make building fly rods my full time job/fun. Thank you all!!!

0wt 0wt!!!!!! They are here!!

By popular demand the 0wt is here!!!! It's a great addition to the line up!!! I'm going to make a limited edition of the 0wts. They will be great and something special!! They will have 5500 year old Bog Oak from Russia. I still can't get my mind around the age. The wood has been carbon dated to make sure of the age. I'm only going to make 10 of them. They will be more expensive. $300. Email me if you want one. I'm also adding a size. 5'8" 3pc. You can pick from 5 weights from 0wt to 4wt. I'm calling them the "Twig" Perfect for the mountain streams!!

I've had a really great year. I've made about 85 custom rods. Thank you all!!! I'm ready for another great year!!

Wild Rod!!

I got an order for a rod a while back and he said make it wild!! So I did!! Here it is!!! I'm about caught up right now and I have a lot of people interested so lets light it up!!!

Great Feb

Well this month has been really great. Right now I've got 14 rods to build!! I'm on it!!! I got a great email from a friend in England yesterday. He went Bonefishing with one of my 1wts and had a blast!! Here are a couple picks of Mike and his fish. I've already had one of his friends send me a request for a rod. Wow Mike!! He was in the Seyehelles Islands off the coast of Africa.

I'm going to be a busy guy for a while getting caught up and I hope I don't get caught up!! I've had a lot of really nice emails about my rods and my service. I'm a lucky guy!! Thank you everyone for your orders!! I've still been thinking about the Owt rod. I don't know yet if I'm going to do it. Tight lines everyone!!

Great Year!!

Well this year has run it's course and we are looking at 2012 square in the face. I can't believe how fast this year has passed. I wanted to take this time to thank everyone for their business and how great it has been emailing and meeting my new friends. I've added several new country's that I've shipped to and really great people there. This year I've built about 78 custom rods and I don't have any idea how many blanks I've sold. I've got a lot to be thankful for. I've been blessed with 4 beautiful, smart and loving girls. My 3 daughters and my wife make my world go round!! I thank God everyday for them. Thank you all and I hope God blesses you all as much as he blesses me!!

I'm back!!

Sorry to be away so long. I've had a very busy year so far. I got a couple pictures from Bodfish Boatworks and had to post them. Very nice build with one of my 1wts. NICE!!!!

I really want to thank all my friends that I've met this year and all the returning friends. You all make me feel great about my blanks and rods. It's getting close to the Christmas shopping days so don't wait too long. I was shipping rods next day delivery last year to make it before Christmas day. Please don't wait and be one of those last second shoppers. I'll always take care of you but I don't want to have both of us nervious!!!

I got some emails from my good friend Rick Osborn and he's been catching some real hog rainbows on Taney the last month. I wish I could go out to play with him!! I can't wait for the browns to run! I'll have my 9' 6wt ready to go for some night fishing!! Hope everyone is doing well!!!! tight lines!!!

Fly Rods!!

Well I'm getting my new size of blanks in this week. I wanted to have a great size for the Taneycomo night scene. So Starting Right now!!!! I have a 9' 4pc 6wt for sale!!! It's perfect size for the monsters that swim around at night on Taney! They will be the same costs as the 5wts both in the blank and the Custom Rod. It's been a really great year so far for blank sales and for Custom rod sales. Thank you all!!! I'm enjoying some slow time right now with only 5 rods to build. I'm trying to spend as much time as I can with my ladies. Time well spent. I hope everyone has had a great year so far. I pray that the gas prices go down so we can get out and do something.
