I said I was going to try and blog a lot more and I'm going to keep my promise. My friend in Norway sent me some pictures of a recent trip.  Espen Westbye sent me some really great pictures and I wanted to share. Thank you Espen!!!

2016

Well the time is here again to try and remember to write 2016. What a pain! What isn't a pain is looking forward to a great year of rod building and fishing. I didn't do much fishing this year which is sad. I'm going to change that this year. Sell, fish, sell, fish! You get the idea. Thanks for a great year. My blanks sold well and I got a lot of really great feed back. I'm not raising my prices this year but I will need to next year. I can't catch a break sometimes with my pricing. Here's a picture of my girls and I on our last outing!! Julia and I caught a lot of fish. I love my girls!!

Sorry everyone it's been a long time since I blogged. It's been a good year. Selling a lot of blanks and a good amount of rods. I've seen a rise in sending me the blank for me to build them something special. It's been fun. I've not had a lot of time to go fishing this year but it's been good!! Roaring River has  been great. I don't know how it will be after this last toad strangler!!! I'm going to try and be better about blogging. Thanks for coming to see me!!!

RDPFLYRODS blanks

I've seen a few things on the Internet lately that I should address.  My rod blanks are made just for me only. In the early years of building I did use Sevier blanks and really liked them. It got hard to keep up with orders so I started to look for help in designing and caring my own blanks. I was lucky enough to meet one of the engineers that helped start Sage. He helped me to get what I think is the perfect IM6 blank. I'm forever in his debt. So just so everyone knows these are my blanks made just for me.

Wow!! It's been a long time sense I've posted. I'm going to try and do better. It's been a good year and I can't believe it's almost Christmas. My youngest daughter and I fished all the state parks here in Missouri this year and it's been the best!! We called it the Grand Slam of fishing this year. I'm getting ready to start selling a great 10' 4 piece Nymphing rod. I call it the Ninja. Everything is BLACK on it. Over sized single foot eyes and a full cord grip. It's selling great in Canada. Very light for a 10' rod.
