Hey!
I went down to Roaring River this afternoon!! It was cold when I got there but I was hot for the water!! The river was up a little and had a small amount of stain to it. I looked around for some lunkers for a little bit and could only find one and when I cast anywhere around him you would have thought that I was throwing a stick of dynamite in the water. Gone in a flash!!!!!!! I then decided to catch some fish. I started with old faithful "The Killer Worm" Well it sounds dramatic anyway!! I started fishing about noon and fished till about 3:00 and had a ball! I caught about 30 fish in all. I walked a lot and covered most of the river just to see where the fish were. They have done some work on the pools and I don't see what they are trying to do but what ever. The rod sales are steady and I even got a guy from Malaysia that is wanting a rod! I've been getting a lot of return customers lately and that really makes me feel good about the way I build the rods. I did meet a nice guy from Aurora today that I had talked to before and told him about the Killer Worm. Hope everyone is keeping their line wet!! Tight lines!!

2009
Long time no see!! I had a great year in 09 for rod sales and would like to thank everyone!! I sold about 150 rods. Lots of return customers!! I shipped about 25 or more over seas. My time fishing wasn't that good but spending time with my family was priceless!!! The fish will still be there for me to enjoy in the years to come and my girls are growing up fast and I don't want to miss a moment! I'm looking to have another great year and looking forward to meeting a lot of new frends!! I hope everyone has a great 2010!!!

Well it's been a long time from my last blog. I've been very busy with my family and rod building. The rods have been really selling well. I've been selling a lot in the UK and sold one to a nice guy in Sweden. I did get to go down to Roaring River and do some fishing and meet up with the Sobers. Used the Killer Worm and had a lot of fun. Got to spend some time talking with Ron and John and Michael. Good people! The river had a lot of water in it and was a little stain to it. The number of fish in the river was down but still not bad. I'm heading down with the family this month for a weekend and really looking forward to it. My brothers brother in law caught a nice 4lb+ fish last weekend. He caught it on a ultra light rod. Boo! I made him a fly rod?? I'll try and keep my blog updated better. But when there's rods to build I'm building!! Tight lines!!!

A Taney Morning
Hi everyone!
I went down to Tanycomo Friday morning to meet a new friend. Gary Harrison met me in the parking lot to get his new rod. Enjoyed meeting Gary and getting to know him. Very nice guy.
I hit the water about 9:00 and 0 units!!! First time I've been able to fish the river in day light. It's changed some but still the best place around to fish!! Started with a egg pattern. Nothing! The next 4 tie ons Nothing! The Killer worm was next! First cast "HELLO" nice 17" fish and the Dam horn starts blowing!!!! Many nasty four letter words ran threw my mind and none of them "fish". Then the horn blows again!! 2 units! Just when I figure out what they want!!! The water started coming up and a third horn blows!!!!!!! Everyone started for the north bank. A weard thing happend!! The water started dropping and went back down to normal???? I didn't care what was going on I wanted to fish and I did! Caught fish everywhere I went. Had a ball!!! Caught about 15 fish in a hour and a half! The river was wonderful to feel again on my waders. I talked to 4 or 5 very nice people. I'm going to have to take a morning off and head down sometime soon!!!
The rods have been selling very well as of late. Hope it continues!

Colorado Brookies
Well I got to go hiking the first week in June in Colorado. We went to the Lost Creek Wilderness area. It was a great time!! We did get to do some Brook Trout fishing but the stream was up and dirty from several days of rain. We had a blast with everything from hiking and finding fire wood to day hiking up farther in the mountains. The mornings were cold. I had ice on my tent about every morning but it didn't take long to warm up and dry out. There were eight of us that went. Great bunch of guys!!

OH NO!!
Well I got a real kick in the teeth this week. My rod blanks supplier said that I ran him out of the 6'6" 4pc 2wt blanks!!! I've been selling a ton of them but I never thought that would happen. He's got them ordered and he's also ordered a bunch in matt black finish also. I don't know how long it will take to get them but I'm crossing my fingers that I will be soon! I feel I'm missing a lot of sales!!
I've got 18 days till I go hiking in Colorado!!! I've got my Gregory backpack and sleeping bag and tent and everything but food ready to go already!! I'm pumped!! Look out brookies Murdoc's coming!!! Tight Lines!!!!!
Give your kids a hug today!!!

Long time no see!!
Well it's been a while sense I posted last. I've been busy, a little. I haven't been able to get away and do any fishing so no fishing reports. Lot's of family busy going on. Very worth it tho. My girls are getting more and more busy with school and Girl Scouts. Fun time! I have been selling a few rods. I'm all but caught up right now but more interest is coming in so it will be feast time again. You know "feast or famine" I'm still working out for my hiking trip and feeling pretty good. I've got about everything ready and I have a couple months to go. Sorry I'm excited!!! I'm planing of doing some fishing later on this month so I'll report then. I've added a little clip of a good friend of mine catching a nice 8+ trout at Roaring River. Gary
Smile and keep them wondering what your up too!!!
