Hello Everyone!!

My sweet wife and I went to Bennett Springs Sunday 10/12. It was her first time to wade fish. Found a nice Orvis waders cheap at a flea market and they fit perfectly!! We got there and got set up and she went right after them!! She loved it!! We fished up by the springs and caught a few then we went to the rock bridge. went down behind it and there were a ton of fish and we caught the snot out of them!!! Stayed most of the day and caught and released at least 50 fish!! wonderful day with my sweetheart. She said she liked it more that going to Roaring River!!! She's defiantly hooked on Bennett Springs. Next time we will walk around and see where else we can find them!!!

 Good Morning World! I haven't posted in a while and I don't know why. RDPflyrods is doing good and surviving this hectic and kayos world. I'm still putting in my 40 hours at Boyd Aluminum and building the fly rods. 

I'm really ashamed of the way our elected officials have been acting. We have a President that is doing nothing but trying to help us and on the other side we have a bunch of people that try to do nothing for us because of hate! This is REAL HATE!! The devil is working hard to destroy this country!! I'm 59 years old and I've never seen so much disrespect. If you don't respect someone don't expect to get it!!!! This soap box is getting big. But this is my blog and I'll say what I want. The biggest thing I see is if you are not trying to help someone YOU are part of the problem. NEVER once did the Dem's try to work toward something good. NOTHING BUT HATE!!! I have so much respect for someone that is not a politician that gives up his wealth and always on the go for good for his country. Shame on the Dem's!! SHAME on you all for following a Crazy Person that is insane!!!!! Have some balls and stand up for us not her hatred!!!

World Record Triploid Trout!!!! 25lb 1oz caught on my RDP Owt fly rod!!!!

Okay everyone!!! Here is a picture of a 25lb 1oz Triploid Trout caught on my RDP 7'6" Owt fly rod!!! It was caught on Lake Rufus Woods in Washington. Caught by Lee Elton in 2012 on a #8 variation of a black wooly bugger. It's a line class WORLD RECORD!!!!!!!!!

Held my first rod building class a couple weeks ago. The class was a blast!!!! Great bunch!!!!

I'm back again!! I just wanted to say that I'm very blessed by the people that I meet thru Fly fishing and the rod business!! I can't imagine what my life would be like if my dad had not taken us to Roaring River all the time! Some of the best memories have water, trout and camping involved in it! God is Great and that's all the time!!!!!! My girls are a part of this also!!!

Fly Rod Classes

Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm going to start giving classes on building fly rods. I'm holding one next month up in Bolivar MO. I've placed membership to one of the best fly fishing clubs I've had the privilege to visit. It's Tri-State Fly Fishers. They meet in Bolivar. They are impressive. They are very active in the community and with the Boys Club. I'm very glad to have met these people. They made me feel welcome from the very start!! Thank everyone for a great year!! Let's go fishing! I've also changed my logo. I love it!!!

Hello everyone!! I got to got hiking in Colorado and fishing in Wyoming the last week in July. Had to rough it at the Hokie Pokie Ranch. Dan and Julie are two Wonderful Christians!! I just met them and you can see the face of God in their faces!! Thank you from the bottom of my heart!! The ranch is Gorgeous!! Of course the great bunch that I got to travel with and live with for a week are also wonderful people! I LOVE YOU GUYS!! Many hours talking and bonding and hiking and fishing were amazing!!

Hello everyone!! It's good to see you again. Not a lot of news just wanted to let everyone know I was here!! My sick lasted 4 weeks. Shrek!!! Wanting to go fishing. Might have a couple famous guys to take fishing in the near future. I'll keep you posted. I will not tell their names tho. Hope you all are getting to wet the lines!! Later!!

It's the end of the year and I have one more trip planned. I'm going to run down and hair lip a few. I've been on vacation this week but guess what!! Yes I've been sick. Shrek!! I wonder if they will let me say I was sick at and I can take the sick days next week?? Yeah right!! I wouldn't even try that. I'll take some pictures of my trip and post them.

Roaring River 11/25/16

It's the day after Thanksgiving and Marshall and I went to Roaring River for Catch and Release. It started out around 40 and the sun came out. Wonderful morning!!!! I caught about 30+ fish. The killer worm was the ticket like always!!! We fished a couple hours and took off. Here is some proof!!

Hello again,
It's been way to long. It's been a interesting summer and now fall is about gone also. Rod orders have been good. I've been really busy at work and with my girls. Band season is about over for both and Catch and Release season in starting next week at the State parks. This is the best time of the year for me!! I love it. I took off for next Friday. Yeah!! I'll give a report when I return. I'll take some pictures also. I hope everyone is doing well and getting to fish. Later!!

I said I was going to try and blog a lot more and I'm going to keep my promise. My friend in Norway sent me some pictures of a recent trip.  Espen Westbye sent me some really great pictures and I wanted to share. Thank you Espen!!!

2016

Well the time is here again to try and remember to write 2016. What a pain! What isn't a pain is looking forward to a great year of rod building and fishing. I didn't do much fishing this year which is sad. I'm going to change that this year. Sell, fish, sell, fish! You get the idea. Thanks for a great year. My blanks sold well and I got a lot of really great feed back. I'm not raising my prices this year but I will need to next year. I can't catch a break sometimes with my pricing. Here's a picture of my girls and I on our last outing!! Julia and I caught a lot of fish. I love my girls!!
