Taneycomo

It looks like they are drawing Taney down quick. I'm looking forward to going down and catching some big browns. Or fishing for them anyway!!

24" Brown Trout limit on Taneycomo

Hey everyone,
It's been a lot of water week!! Table Rock opened the gates for a little while and they will continue running 4 units for a while. There has been a good reaction to the blog on OAF about changing the length limit on Taneycomo to 24" for the brown trout. I hope everyone that can vote does. I've contacted the MDC and they are watching the reactions. I've contacted the Branson Chamber of Commerce and waiting on their reply. Wouldn't it be great to see huge Browns swimming around!! SWEET!!!

Rain!!!!!!!!!!!

Well it looks like we are in for another month or so of 4 units from Table Rock! It came up 2 feet in a day this week. The fishing has been really good for a couple of weeks for the waders. Here around Mt Vernon got about 4" of rain. It was a nice 4" tho. Didn't come down all at once. We should have a really colorful fall this year with all the rain. Look out for Winter this year. The Almanac says it's going to be a wet one and COLD!! Yuck! I'll keep my waders ready to go at anytime!!!! Fight them fair!!!!

Welcome!!!!

This is my first live blog. I've talked to some friends that fished Taneycomo last week and they did very well! They said that there were a few nice Rainbows crusing around and they did notice a couple of pole breaker browns seen. They were tight lipped he said. It looks like it's going to be a great fall on Taney. I would look for fish to go close to 20lbs this fall with all the food available this Summer.
Smiles are free!
